Netflix has removed Shia LaBeouf’s name from their “For your awards consideration” page amid FKA Twigs’ lawsuit against the actor.
Netflix put 34-year-old LaBeouf’s “Pieces of a Woman” co-star Vanessa Kirby up for best actress consideration but omitted the actor’s name from the list, People reported.
The description reads, “Martha (Vanessa Kirby) and Sean are a Boston couple on the verge of parenthood whose lives change irrevocably when a home birth ends in unimaginable tragedy.”
LaBeouf’s name is noticeably not included next to that of his character Sean.
The omission comes after FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit against ex-boyfriend LaBeouf for their allegedly abusive relationship.
Twigs, 32, has accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress, the New York Times reported in early December.
“I’d like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency,” Twigs told the Times.
LaBeouf responded in an email to the paper saying, “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
Sia then came out in support of Twigs, claiming she was “conned” into an affair with “pathological liar” LaBeouf and warned women to “stay away” from the “very sick” star.
The singer added, “Also I love you @FKAtwigs. This is very courageous and I’m very proud of you,” she added, sharing news stories of her fellow singer’s lawsuit.
LaBeouf’s rep did not respond to our request for comment.
