‘Vikings’ star Alexander Ludwig and fiancée Lauren Dear elope in Utah

Alexander Ludwig is kicking off the new year as a newlywed.

On Sunday, the 28-year-old “Vikings” actor revealed he and fiancée Lauren Dear eloped in Utah.

“We decided to elope. It has been such a crazy year but it certainly put things into perspective,” Ludwig captioned an Instagram photo from their wedding day.

“Life is too short And i didnt want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife,” he continued.

Ludwig added once “things settle down” the couple will have a “proper celebration” with their loved ones.

“For now — the love of my life, our dog yam, a yurt on a mountain top in the middle of nowhere sounded like the perfect beginning,” Ludwig penned, geotagging The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts in Wanship, Utah, as the location.

Dear, who announced her engagement to Ludwig in November, also gushed about the pair’s intimate nuptials.

“This last year was filled with a lot of uncertainty and doubt but this was the easiest decision of my life. I think we all learned in some way or another to look inside ourselves and find what truly makes us happy. Thank you to 2020 for bringing this guy into my life,” Dear posted to her Instagram page.

“I will love you forever @alexanderludgwig. You continue to show me what life is truly about every day and how to be strong, resilient and courageous. I am a better person by your side,” she continued.

Ludwig, who also appeared in 2012’s “The Hunger Games,” was previously linked to Lindsey Vonn.
